strange electrics

the wife was out in my 05 lcr yesterday, and the car decided to go a bit bizarre
what happened was, the car was working fine, she went shopping, she came back to the car, started it but is wasn't running right and when revved it just died, after 20 minutes it finally started and was running fine, no loss in power or anything but now there are no dash lights apart from the battery warning light and none of the gauges are working when the car is running,

this morning i have a look at it, all is fine apart from the drivers airbag light is on, it's telling me i need washer fluid when i don't, and my windows won't automatically go up?

can anyone please shed some light on a possible cause, before i take it to a stealer and get robbed

First suggestion is find someone with VAGCOM and get it scanned - should give you a decent idea of what actual fault-codes are logged - there's a VAGCOM section where you can post requests for people near you to scan it for beer money

have you checked your Battery is ok? mine did something like it when my battery died
