Driving the LC to work this morning I noticed a strange chatter sound coming from the airbox area.

I've smoothed my airbox and usually get a nice woosh when changing gear.
I still get this woosh but its followed by a metalic chatter sound  I've had a quick look under the bonnet this morning at work but nothings obvious.

Also, it only seems to happen in first and second gear when i back of the throttle.

Any idea peeps?

just checked the airbox and all seems ok. Im wondering if the DV is causing it. I might take it off and check it out.

well after a bit of lunch break mechanics I've found the problem. Does anyone know the part number for this vac hose that fits to the top of the DV? I've cut back the hose and clipped it back on for now but it's not ideal. The cars running fine though

i had the same with my ibiza, it sounds cool but is bad for the turbo.
Basically cutting the pipe back with do fine aslong as its not pulling on it.
Otherwise get some vac hose from local dealer. its like £5 a meter!

Does the normal silicone vac hose bend enough to clear the engine cover? I noticed the OEM one has a moulded bend to it. I wasn't sure if it would kink and cause problems.

mounted the SEAT way the vac pipe rubs on the engine cover anyway, possibly contributing to why it split.

Mounted the reverse way you have more clearance and the funky noise :D
