Did anyone sort out this stiffness? I struggle to get it turned most times and worried the key will snap...Might try spare key first before dealer gets the WD40 out

Hope they don't get wd40 out as it would only be a temp.fix, would go stiff again quite soon. Sounds like the keys may not be cut exactly right but may be wrong.

Ours is a problem still and a right pain in the neck I must say. Did not think it was down to the hot weather but now you say that sounds right as the problem has been more noticeable in the two weeks of summer we have had.

Try some Micro fine graphite powder from a locksmiths.

I use it in all locks - non sticky, none smelly and very slippy stuff.

All my locks on the car, cycle rack and motor bike are very smooth operating regardless of temperature.

Good idea mate. Will let seat handle it this time as there are other things that need addressed but good to know.

Hi guys, I'm a new poster here. My wide has an Ibiza Cupra and we are onto our 2nd ignition barrel after the first was replaced after 18 months of ownership as it was virtually unusable. Now this barrel is the same-worse recently in the hot weather. My wife took it into our local dealer and the "lubricated" the lock and said it was better. Of course it is not, it is just as bad as ever, I want to get it fixed ASAP as warranty runs out in September.

Very annoying!
