Sticky mess left by sticker on sun visor

what the best wat to remove stucky residue left by a sticker?

wd40 and have heard toothpaste is good and softer but crap for fabrics depends how bad it is

on plastics i use cloth soaked in a little lighter fluid!

I use stuff from Screwfix called sticky stuff remover £5 ish but works well on most surfaces.
