Stereo Problem

I have a kenwood head unit, standard speakers all round and 2 subs. Just driving along normally yesterday and all the car speakers cut out just bass from the subs and nothing else!! Any Ideas Anyone???? As just bass is really starting to annoy me so i have no music now

cheak your speaker connections at the back of the head unit thats the only place i can think you might have a problem

Sounds like youve got a short circuit somewhere mate - If theres a short, the HU's internal amplifier will not work but the rest of the line out's will be fine.

Mine has done this with some after-market speakers, make sure no wires are incorrectly touching and it should be fine.

If not, then the whole of the Head Unit's amplifier could be to blame and has completely died - in that case try it on another car before you take it back

YIp, thats the most likely..........

My old JVC headunit amp blew and was only getting one channel and you had to have the volume right up just to hear anything!

You must have been enjoys the music to much

just been havin a play with the ISO connector and when its half in i still get some of the sound back i.e front right and front left tweeter but then when its back in properly everything goes again!

sounds like a short in the speaker leads or iso leads to me too

Or the ISO connector may be faulty itself.....

Halfrauds do 'em cheap.....
