Been out and checked the fuses, nothing seems to be wrong there.

Not a single one of them has broken, including to one on the back of the stereo.
Does the wire have to be broken for the fuse to be blown?
Should I try another Stereo / Leads to same if the problem proceeds?

Checked the red live cable coming to the stereo, but it registered zero on the multimeter.

Only thing I can do now is wait for a reply.....

Never Mind...

The headunit seems to have fried itself, put the Factory unit back in and it's fine.
I removed the retaining clips so if I decide to change it I don't need to use the keys, as I don't have them.

Advice:- After having two Sony Headunits fail in this car in three months!

This helped me a lot when i installed an aftermarket head unit.

You do not need to use an aerial amplifier on a standard head unit.

Check out the section at the end about aerial amplifiers. I had to remove the blue wire that was in teh ISO block and use this for a feed for the PC5-90.

After some help with the aerial connection please on my wifes 05 MK4 1.4 Sport.

I purchased a Kenwood KDC-241SA last night and also the PC2694 ISO Adaptor and the PC5-52 aerial adaptor.
Fitted the HU and ISO adaptor last night no problems at all, but when trying to connect the aerial adaptor to the factory aerial lead and back of Kenwood HU, I could not get it to fit at either end. Am I doing something wrong or trying to connect the wrong ends?

I think I may need the PC5-90 as found here:

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_225815_langId_-1_categoryId_165626

as I'm sure the male end will fit into the back of the Kenwood HU, and then I guess the female end into the seat aerial lead???

Any help welcome, cheers all.

You need to attach it to the Blue wire which is the ignition feed.

You will need one of these clips to attach it, cut the end off the blue wire for the PC5-52 before putting it into this clip. I think it's called a "scotch clip / Lock" ? ?

Ask for it in Halfrauds... They should have them.

No its not the blue wire I am having a problem with, I can see exactly where the blue wire goes.
Its the other aerial connections I am having problems with as neither end of the PC5-52 will fit into the back of the Kenwood HU, which is why I'm sure I need the PC5-90.

Hope that is understandable, its difficult without pics!!
