hi all
im putting a new steering wheel on the ibiza and have bought a new boss and suede wheel. the problem is that i have taken the old steering wheel off
and there seems to be a collar or sum sort or a spacer which cancels the indicators and my mountney boss wont go over it.has anyone had the same problem fitting an aftermarket steering wheel.
and can i take this collar space thing off as it seems to be very tight
cheers MADDANE

there should be nothing on the steering rod apart from a small collar which is splined to accept the new boss and old wheel... Obviously theres the other stuff past that but thats what should be forward of the indicators...

IIRC there are different bosses for adjustable steering wheel and non so maybe you have the wrong boss?

Its pretty self explanatory once the wheel is off

Sounds like you might have the wrong boss? It should be as simple as removing the old wheel and then fitting boss to the splined steering column, and then attaching the wheel to the boss.
