Std seat belt won't fit around baby seat

hello to all ive had my 3 dr FR for just over a year and need to fit a baby seat into the back does anyone know if there is a longer seat belt option as the standard one wont reach around the baby seat.Any help or ideas would be gratefully recieved as the baby will be here in a few weeks!!! better get back to painting the nursery.

Hi welcome to the forum!

I assume that your baby seat is a rear facing seat?!

Ive had a friends baby in my FR and its a forward facing seat and goes in fine with no problem. Only thing i would say is that he keeps kicking the back of the seats, and he likes to stand on the door sills (ive looked after him since he was 1, hes now nearly 5) which scratches them ....

As far as im aware there isnt a longer belt option...but you could ring up SEAT and find out.

I think you're doing something wrong, or your seat belt is faulty.

Child seats are designed to fit in standard seat belts in any car.

yep those things pull out for miles or mine does anyway sounds like you may have a fault or one HUGE babby

hey dpj you are right it was me not the seatbelt my wife calls it nappy brain! which is nice and only going to get worse when the baby arrives. thanks for all the replies and hellos.

[Pedantic busybody safety point] If it's going in the front passenger seat, don't forget to read the notice stuck to the windscreen.

I have spent a lot of time moving baby/child seats between cars over the years.
