when lowered it knocks all the alignement out mate, so it needs realigning, i.e 4 wheel alignement... ruin the handling otherwise.

cheap setup is false economy mate, much like cheap binbags.........

look at a set of janspeed shocks and springs, they are only like 160 quid and a decent ride, harsh, but not as much as coilies

You'll never get as low as coilovers with a shock and spring package. You can buy -50mm springs which will have you sitting on your arse but as above, will funk your shocks. You could maybe buy a -30mm shock and spring package, then some -50mm springs serparate and fit them to the uprated shocks but I am not sure 1. if you can actually do that, 2. how long they'll last also and 3. how it'll affect the handling.

Do you wat you car to sit level, i.e. front and back the same? You will only get that with coilovers as you generally have to lower the back a bit more to do this.

I intend to leave the coilovers on the back so i can adjust to match the front. It looks like i will be investing in some uprated shocks too. Or the hole lot changed over to weitec coilovers. Anyone run AP's?
