Standard SAT NAV System

Im looking to fit a Double Din sat nav into my LCR. Ideally looking to get a factor fitted one. Just a coulpe of questions.

1. Can i still use my CD changer from the Aura Headunit
2. What are the original, which version should i be looking out for.

My friend has a sat nav with a Toledo V5 interior, in black so will be fitting that.

Any help appreciated.

I believe the CD changer in my Toledo is the same that is plugged into the Aura HU, so you should be fine with that.

I'm fairly sure the sat nav fitted to the Toledo V5 didn't have any different versions, although some VAG cars got a newer DVD based sat nav instead of the CD based one that the Toledo has. The CD one is reasonably ok, but chances are if it's straight from the Toledo it will need a newer CD. When I got mine the 2000 CD didn't even have my village on it! I've not managed to find an updated CD for less than £100 so far, but others have managed to find one on Ebay for much less.

Ive got standard fit sat nav & cd changer, mine came fitted from factory with changer but on the drop down menu on satnav screed were you choose radio/cd input etc there is also an aux input which could probably be used to run a non standard cd changer using a suitable cable. Other thing too is that ariel is different i think on satnav equiped cars, the gps receiver is built into it, on mine it says gps on the part that fits onto roof anyway.

Iv got the Sat Nav unit factory fitted from new, and the 6CD Changer is the same as the one you get with Aura headunit.

Have a look at my RR thread, I have pics of both the SatNav unit itself and also the GPS aerial, it's different to the normal base.

about £200 quid mate. I was thinking of putting an aftermarket one in. But would rather have OEM goin in the car.

Just curious how it fits being double din, I'm sure my stereo is only single din and the climate control consumes the rest of the space?

I am really considering buying a V5 like this for the satnav and leather alone

then breaking the rest

do an ebay search for seat leon sat nav
there are two on there for £200 each at present.
you will need of course the housing and gps ariel bits, which all makes it very expensive!

only reason not done myself really
