Standard Alarm

Right i have a cupra R an so does my mate an when he was down i mine yesterday his has an alarm on an he say's it a standard seat one is this right??

As we looked at his an mine i have all the alarm lights an the bonnet pin thing. So if it is a standard seat alarm can i just buy the fob an get it coded in?

that arm's the alarm.

sit in the car and lock it with the remote out of the ignition sit totally still for about 30 seconds or more then after then wave your arms about.
the ultrasonics will pick this up and your alarm will go off

what craig is saying is my cupra r has a scorpion cat 1 alarm. mine has the ultrasonic sensors on the A pillar trim and the flashing led is in the center console between the oil temp gauge and batt voltage gauge. it does not have any sensors in the rear interior light and it does not a flashing led on the drivers door.
craigs cupra r is exactly the same but he does not have a scorpion alarm fob.
do r's come standard with a cat 1 alarm???
mine was fitted 2 months before the car was registed new!

It was an option to have them fitted on the R's when new...

My mates Cupra R has the Scorpion CAT 1.
I though it was standard on Cupra R's but 'Craig!' will know better above.

Right so by the looks of it mine has it fitted but the fob has either been lost or not given to me. So can i get a new one from the stealer an get it programmed in??

I dunno if it was default factory fit, I always presumed it was an option for a Scorpion on the R, so I could be wrong... however I did notice Craig1985's bonnet sensor is not a standard one so chances are his is a Scorpion one too.
