stalling when cold & engine stop reeving

I have notice a couple of problems with my seat. The first issue started happening last year, when the weather starts to get cold/damp. It only happens when the engine is cold you put the clutch in when driving etc and the engine revs drop below the idle position struggles to pick up and then it stalls??

The second is sometimes i cant get the car over 5k revs, the car seems to splutter slightly though the rev range, then when it hits 5k it starts jerking if it want to go but it wont. 5 to 10 minutes later its all ok??

Any help i would be grateful. Its a Ibiza cupra 2.0 8v on a 1998 plate.

Have you cleaned the throttle body? Should be able to find some info on this with a search.

my misses 8v was doing this.

i changed the battery and now its fine.

Thanks I will have a look into the throttle body, i have changed the battery last year still the probs though.

Check rotor arm/dizzy cap and timing

check the throttle body mine was the same untill today found out that a load of wires had been buchered some how now all is well with my mk2
