stalling chaos

Had a very odd experience over the weekend with the cordoba vario.
Standard 1.6 no mods and runs great. When i was leaving worked i stalled the thing censored: ) after that it idled fast and everytime i was slowing down the engine was taking ages to settle.

After running it for two days and it revving up at lights like a i disconnected the battery for 2 hours and it reset itself and now runs great again.

Anyone else had this happen and more importantly is it a sign tha ti am about to have some open wallet surgery?

havent had any other symptoms as yet
should i be watching out for anything else? or will it just start idling high again

nah just will start doing abnormal things. poor idle poor acceleration,and probably go into limp mode when its completely gone.but best to get it diagnosed 100%

cheers will keep it in mind i dont plan on keeping to more than another 6 months so any non essential expenditure would be painful

Did the throttle body clean and all that but it turned out to be a knackered ECU!!

Hope yours is just a throttle body clean

when it stalled it was down to my clumsy driving (i had just got out of my truck) then it started behaving odd
been fine since i disconnected the battery
hopefully it will behave for a while nowfingers well crossed
