I'm thinking of getting a bit more power out of the old beeza, looks like a stage 2 map might be needed :)
What mods are needed to get go to stage 2? I'm gonna buy a green panel filter this week so what else, what type of exhaust (sports cat??)
cheers people,
Baggy

Stage 2 for derv you need, filter (and better intake), exhaust, FMIC and maybe a better clutch

Really If I ever get my arse into gear and get a remap I just need the FMIC (I know they are well pricey thou!)
What is 007p?
Think clutch would be a safe bet I would be paranoid the whole time and not giving it the full power it deserves!lol

What you gonna do go for it anyway?

I've never understood this Stage 1/2/3 stuff. Are we basically talking..
Stage 1 = off the shelf
Stage 2 = customised off the shelf
Stage 3 = spends several hours, if not days, on the rollers nailing ever load point you could possibly conceive of?

Maybe I'm being thick but reading the Revo & CC sites phase 2 & 3 remaps are basically they same but for different levels of modifications, hence my confusion. I'm wondering because I've been exposed to the world of piggy-back & after market ECUs with on-road & rolling road mapping I see things in a slightly different way.

I'm not sure if i'm gonna go for the stage 2, looking very pricey lol
just got a quote from p-torqe, for £1300.
That does include clutch, exhaust, mapping and labour etc.
Think i might have to do a bit at a time, haven't got that money to just throw at the car

I'd say its probably best to do it all at once,
Otherwise you'll be putting bits on and wont really be noticing the difference and It'll get you down when you put a Forge TIP on and it makes very little difference

keywords being different between a stage and a phase. many get mixed up IMHO they are

stage 1 basic remap, maybe filter, coilovers etc

stage 2 is filters, exhaust, intercooler, intake, remap to suit, brakes

stage 3 is bigger turbo, again mapped etc etc

however a phase map can be added to cars without the above in the same number

Phase 1, generic crap

Phase 2, tweaked generic crap a little

Phase 3, custom map on RR/Road as you say spending a day or so atleast!

You could have a Phase 2 map on a Stage 1 car, but wouldnt see Stage 2 results with a Phase 2 map... if that makes sense.

Car could be standard, but you get a mapper to do a Phase 3 map on it, and it will get better results than a Phase 1...
