Maybe I'm being thick but reading the Revo & CC sites phase 2 & 3 remaps are basically they same but for different levels of modifications, hence my confusion. I'm wondering because I've been exposed to the world of piggy-back & after market ECUs with on-road & rolling road mapping I see things in a slightly different way.
keywords being different between a stage and a phase. many get mixed up IMHO they are
stage 1 basic remap, maybe filter, coilovers etc
stage 2 is filters, exhaust, intercooler, intake, remap to suit, brakes
stage 3 is bigger turbo, again mapped etc etc
however a phase map can be added to cars without the above in the same number
Phase 1, generic crap
Phase 2, tweaked generic crap a little
Phase 3, custom map on RR/Road as you say spending a day or so atleast!
You could have a Phase 2 map on a Stage 1 car, but wouldnt see Stage 2 results with a Phase 2 map... if that makes sense.
Car could be standard, but you get a mapper to do a Phase 3 map on it, and it will get better results than a Phase 1...
