Squeaking in new Leon FR+

Guest
HI,

Im new here but just bought a FR+ and its from a seat dealer in good nick etc. 30k.
But theres a squeaking noise coming from the car, inside you can here it most by the drivers footwell, and when out side behind the right front wheel somewhere.
Oddly when i turn the engine of and close my car door it did a brief squeak, so I pushed down on the car near the front and it squeaks again. Would lead me to think its suspension related but when driving whether staionary or moving its pretty much constant.

Anyone had anything similar or could help?

Thanks

This noise is still here, its not anything with the door.
I went on a motorway drive yesterday and the noise got alot worse, its mainly a sqeaking rattling noise which I can only describe is coming from behind the pedals and iin the front of the car somewhere. May have to put it in to Seat

Maybe, you can also here it when stationary if you put you r foot on the gas and at a certain point the squeaking kicks in, can be heard outside coming from behind the right front wheel somewhere aswell

hello! welcome to the word of scn. leons squeak and rattle alot. sone interior squeaks can be sorted with wd40 and other methods. i currently have a squeak from infront of my footwell/wheel arch. its intermittant and roumour has it that next week its getting done under warranty. so you could try the place you got it from... mine occurs at certain revs (i.e. frequency of vibrations) and if i apply the breaks and come to a stop it comes for 3 seconds or so and then goes again. just trim i recon.

Ok got it sorted was apparently a missin bolt off somehwhere near a intake valve or something, think he said near turbo but thought that was on the other side of the car. anyway the bolt now replaced holds 2 surfaces that were vibrating against eachother, anyway sorted now.
Did it through my dads mates garage as Seat couldnt guarntee it would be covered under the guarantee if it wasnt mechanical and id have to pay the labour costs. They said £88 +VAT for an hour!!
Anyway got it cheaper through dads mate and know im getting it done properly and the actual problem fixed.
