can someone tell me roughly how long it'd take to change suspension and whats involved?
a guy from work has just got an ibiza but wants standard suspension put back on (got lowering springs not coilovers). he thought he'd ask me but i have no idea!!
so i thought of you folks. any help?

i did the opposite all in one day! i think it took me about 3-4 hours! that was with my dad! i'd advise making it a two man job! Also i just worked from the haynes manual!!

im guessin it'd be a garage job as like me i dont think he'd know where to start

does insurance really change that much with lowering springs? i think thats the reason

garage will charge more than one hours labour id bet . can be done in about 2 hours at home , providing no rounded bolts and you got decent tools .

personally i think it'd be worth 2 hrs labour, do you reckon thats what a garage could do it in?

Do it yourself, iirc its like 5 bolts all in.

Learn to DIY, you'll never need a mechanic again ;)

although i have a fair knowledge of DIY mechanics! i'd say if you know the right end of a spanner you would probably manage this. any garage will milk this due to it being a relatively simple job!!

returning it to standard is easier than putting springs on! £200 is a tad steep in my opinion, especially since it's been shown ^^ that you could do it urself with a Haynes manual.
