Hi Not Applicable...

I eventually got a Milltek Resonated cat back exhaust put on to replace my very loud Scorpion one. It's loads quieter and more refined. I'm now tempted by Millteks Hi flo Cat and downpipe with a stage 2 remap! Is this the same set-up as yours?

You say it's not too noisy, which is what i want, but i don't want to make the same mistake as before and find it's too noisy again... You appear to be very happy with yours... it's expensive mind you..looking at £1200+, plus fitted!!

What do you reckon...should i do it?

Cheers

Hello Huffcap

I have a cupra 280 and I have just ordered the milltek resonated system. As you said you used to run this exhaust system with a stock cat. How was the sound? Is it like stock? Like you I don't enjoy a really loud exhaust but not a one that sounds like stock as well. Cheers

hi Angelo
I no longer own the Cupra ST and have bought bmw 440i. You’ll be pleased to know already modded with wicked exhaust and 360bhp! Still miss the ST though. The miltek exhaust isn’t much louder than stock, but looks better and allows you to ramp up to stage 2!. The milltek is more grown up but won’t give you crackles and pops etc. I made a big mistake with the scorpion so appreciated the Miltek much more!
The stock cat is fine with the milltek exhaust.
You’ll want to upgrade to stage 2 pretty soon!
Enjoy

Thank you for your reply I really appreciate it. I have one more question with the resonated milltek catback and with a downpipe how was the sound affected? I mean did it drone during highway cruises? Also indeed I am pleased to know you now own a 360 bhp bmw 440i incredible cars! Have fun with it and always stay safe.

hi Angelo
Go ahead and get the Miltek downpipe
And stage 2 it’s brill!. No droning at all on any road ( motorways etc). There is no way I would tell you to do this If there was a slightest issue with noise.
You probably get a slight raised induction noise, but nothing else! Which is nice.
I’m 68 years old , so there is no way I’d put up with a noisy exhaust! Modded all
My life!! Always worried about exhaust noise!
If you want to email me on the mods and stuff I did to my car it’s [email protected]
I traded it in to a Bmw dealer and got
£12500 for it and it went to auction and sold for 11500!. regret selling it now as I
spent over 7k on mods. It ended up 415bhp... but looked standard!
I loved it and still reminiscing about it!
Is yours a hatch or sports Tourer?

Hello

That sounds really appealing for my taste in exhaust noise. Mine is a hatchback 280. Do you have the part number of the milltek downpipe you used to have? I am interested now that you told me that even with a downpipe the sound is still minimal. Thanks again for your help.
