Split-R Valve

Just received mine today, I fitted mine on the boost pipe, pics here:

Will drive it tomorrow and fine tune the spring to my car, hope it sounds good!

Im confused with this Split R valve, Ive got one on my Ibiza. Fitted it the same way as my old forge one and sounded awesome. Whosshing but chattery at the same time.

I then fitted it the other way round and it was silent. Do you lot find that with yours?

Yeah i bought a length of silicone hose off ebay to change it.

Dan Cupra R - I also fitted incorrectly and was getting serious chatter. Sounded good but was obvious the valve wasn't opening correctly. It is quieter now but can still hear it.

i also fitted my valve the opposite way that the 007p fits and it sounds chuff,no sound at all.will put it the same way as the 007p and try.

If you want that sort of sound then yeah, definitely.

Mines a Revo stage 2 so i'm hitting quite high boost, i don't know how loud it would be on a standard 180bhp

I have just fitted one to my LC, you do get a noise from it, its isnt mega loud, but its still there. I dare say if you get it remapped it will be louder. Which is what im going to do.

Also, i fitted this th same way as my 007 and it seemed fine....till i realised it was the wrong way! so i swapped it round and now i would say its louder, not quieter like most of you have said

Listen i do plan on getting a Dynatwist for the LCR.
Could I make it even more Whooshy/louder by replacing my 07 with a Split-R ?

Listen to the sound clip and you'll hear. I had no noise from my 007p and BMC CDA so i'm happy now that i can hear something. It's not amazingly loud but enough for me.

its definately a blow off noise...my 007 didnt even make a noise.

You just have to ask yourself if its worth the extra money??

for me it was!
