Split R Question

Any of you lot with this valve fitted on a Ibiza Cupra got any pics of how you have fitted it?

Ive got the trumpet facing upwards on mine, tried changing it round so the trumpet faces the ground (reversed) and it was silent after that.

Anyone?

my trumpet faces the front of the car.......ill have to get some photos for you cuz there seems to be alot of confusion how these things fit. for all i know, mines round the wrong way round?? i havnt lost a snip of boost and it works fine so who knows???

Whats your sounding like Gav? Mines got quiet. Before I had the car serviced it was lovely, Good audible sound with a slight chatter.

When I got it back from the stealers they had replaced the turbo vacuum hose as it had perished and the valve was quieter (Only noisey when u boot it).

I fitted it in reverse and was virtually silent....

I keep hearing that it should be reversed then hearing it should be the other way round, Confusing......

i have just fitted my mine , and it only works every now and then . other than that it completly silent , any one ideas why , please help , i think its fitted right , the trumpet is faceing the front of the car , This prob sounds stupid but wat hose is the boost side of the turbo, Is it the hose that comes from the bottom or from the right hand side ,

rite lol , just been out playin with the vavle , i got it workin , if you install it around the other way compared to the standard one it works a treat

Mine sounds sweet, it definately got louder after a week or so but im used to it now.....it dumps like a 007p on lower boost and chatters quite agressive on full boost, i havnt tried it in reverse so i dont know if it would make a difference?

To be honest im thinking of putting my 007 back on and selling the split-r to raise funds for my fmic quicker.........but im undecided at the mo.

juast fitted my bmc cda and the dv but it still rattle evan when i turn it ??? + the light had come up on the dash??? any help or anything would be goo thanks.
p.s its on a lcr

what it still rattles even when its fully adjusted down??

If thats the case there's probably a malfunction with the valve matey...

ya, i'v turned it all the way round and 1/2 the way round and so on and so on.

iv just fitted mine in to my ibiza its making a rattleing sound and its not working? may be the pipes are the wrong way round

boost feeds into bottom of split-R vents out of side, opposite of an 007P

when i went to forge......the lads reckoned that it would work better if the trumpet was facing the bulk head, swapped it round the other way and its stopped all chattering noises altogether now. just gives big loud whooosh!!

if i was you mate speak to forge, it may be faulty?? if you've covered all areas then it stands a chance that something more technical is up.

what induction are you running? are you remapped?

i have a bmc induct kit. it was mapped but the whole car ecp went. getting it mapped again tho. the valve is silent! what have i done wrong?

it doesnt sound like youve done anything wrong mate......it appears youve covered all possible aspects so i'd get onto forge for some technical advise on this one if i were you. it doesnt sound right to me at all.
