So a month ago i got a forge split r dv for my lc ( see below for mods ) and last week my engine management light came on so i took it to the good good people at jbs as i was having a service any way and it turns out it was caused by the split r dv . Apparently it was set too loose so not recircin enuf air back into the system. This dv was advertised as no more ecu or maf problems ,so wot was that all about , but anyway jbs cleared the fault and tightened the valve for nowt while they did my service . Once again jbs are the doggies danglys and i will NEVER go anywhere else.:seatgod:

Get a boost gauge, replace the Splitter with the original dv. Take a note of the boost, then put the splitter back on. I think its turn it fully clock wise (sets it back to standard) then 2 full turn anti clock wise = 8 clicks. Would double check if I have that right as I cant remember which way round it was (clock wise or anti). I would also recommend to do this with the dv in recirculation, not 75% (so no whooshing for a while). This is how I set mine up for best performance + good sound.

I know someone else that setup there DV like this and it works well, double check with forge tho.

These DV’s are a head ache at first but do what they say once there setup well.

Calm down dear . Im not lookin for sympathy or lookin to blame anyone im just trying to warn people who want to fit one that just bobin it on can cause problems and to ask around for advice b4 playing with the settings, cos folk who buy these want them for the noise not performance ( or theyd just get the cheaper 007 ) and they WILL play to get the best sound and they have to understand the risks involved cos as shown its not idiot proof and isnt that wot this site is all about?

Yeah i had the directions wrong. this is the guide i followed.
""""
yeah if you turn it fully anti clockwise then 8 clicks clockwise and then start form there
i have got an almost standard LCR bar a BMC induction and i have only got it at 7-8 clicks so if yours is completely standard i may well only be 6-7 clicks

but i would stongly advise a boost gauge as it helps alot in setting it up.
""""""

Yeah it gives of a nice sound not too loud and not too quiet

you cant put the boost gauge in the same line as the DV (the pipe that connects to the top of the DV).

Other than that it worked well for me, runs a bit better with full recirculation, but hey you get a nice sound with all revs with 75% so real good for town drives.

Hope it all helped.

I was running a dynatwist with the split r. I had my FMIC fitted by forge yesterday and changed the filter to an open cone one. Forge fetteled about with my split r too and it sounds great now, get a really good sound from it.
