I have just spoken to the garage and they said they are putting it all back together now!

It was rubbing on the 'Radiator Fan' but because its clipped to the chassis its hard to move it so that it doesnt rub on it

They said that the new one doesnt seem to be rubbing so i wonder if it was just because the one that split was rubbing because it was old and a bit more slack amking it have more give in it?

id pay to see it done in 2mins tbh

when i went to see forge test fitting a coolant kit on a golf, it took more than 2 mins to empty the system! plus if its not cold ul come away with more than just scraped knuckles! its really not easy to get to, break the securing clip, pull pipe off, disconnect it at the other end, then could take up to 10mins just to get the new pipe on!

as said, the new hose only cost about 35quid, the coolant itself was about 18quid, then a flush, plus labour

and that wasnt even a stealer!

2min job?! pah! not even if ur the new superman!

but no more than 35/40mins eiither

Yeah from what i have heard its not a 2 minute job and i believe these guys that work on my car as they are spot on!

May be being confuddled with another hose that is only a 2 minute job?
