Speedo and Rev Needles...Help!

I don't know if anyone can help me. I have replaced the dials in my ibiza mk2, everything went smoothly until I plugged them back in and now both the speedo and rev counter needles are dropping right down below zero.

I have tried taking the needles off again and repositioning them, I almost got the rev to stop at zero eventually but it's still not spot on and the speedo is still dropping right down.

I know some dial replacement kits don't require needle removal but this kit did, trouble is it explains how to get the needles off but not put them back on again!!

Please can anyone help solve my ickle problem???

Thanks in advance :)

fit the needle lightly so you can turn the spindles back counterclockwise to their stop (you eill feel slight resistance as the spindle stops and the needle slips on the spindle)- this is the zero position. Press the spindle on fully when in the correct position.

Hey there, thanks very much. I had an idea that it was to do with the spindles not being in the right place but didn't know you could actually tell the zero position that way. They are all sorted now....thank you again for coming to my assistance! :)
