I would like to upgrade the speakers in my car, I have a Cupra 290 MK3.
I would like to know the size of the speakers and if anyone has upgraded there's?
I'm looking at maybe the JL Audio C1 but not sure. I have a Rochford Fosgate subwoofer and now I want to upgrade the door speakers and tweeters.

Yeah done it through web on my phone and it downloaded. I'm surprised that the front door speakers are 8 inch they normally use 6.5 inch in cars

yes, 8" take advantage and go with 8's! I fitted 8" subs in mine but heavily beefed up the speaker mounting and deadened it thoroughly..

Phase Linear Aliante 8's, quite rare these days but I had a new pair tucked away for years so finally got to use them! they are playing lower midbass so have mids and tweeters in the A pillars to compliment them.

Sounds like a nice set up, have you got your speakers amplified or do you use original headunit to power it all?

old school Phoenix Gold amps, head-unit power wouldn't do them justice! I've made a beauty panel to cover all the wiring and stuff and also it all fits below the original floor so still 100% practical.

PS- ignore the dodgy wiring, it has since been finished and mega OCD!

Looks amazing, are they custom pillars?
Do you have the original headunit?

yes, kept the original head-unit but also have a CD multiplayer player hooked into it all too as still have about 500 CD's I can't be bothered to convert to SD card!

I made very good use of my 9 weeks of furlough though, I built the A pillar pods and also the beauty panel for the boot and CD changer build. I used some Alcantara suede I had left over from my previous Skoda build and it matched the Cupra interior perfect!

if you need any advice on anything audio related just ask away, been doing this mad hobby for 30 years now!

It looks beautiful, I would love a setup like yours. I want to upgrade my door speakers, was looking at JL AUDIO heard they are amazing. I have a Rockfors Fosgate punch P300 12 for a quick fix for some nice bass.

Looks very good nice workmanship.
How did you get your sub in the boot sunken looking so nice.
What do you think of the vocal isu200 for the front and the isu165 for the back?

can't go wrong with Focal, I've ran them for years, mainly the Utopia versions.

I built the sub/wheel well enclosure out of fibreglass, I cheated a little though as I re-used the enclosure out of my old Octavia as it has the exact same floor press!
