Anyone know whether this can be ordered as a part via the parts department for the £35 cost that's on the options list from new?

Mines in coming with the standard repair kit. My concern is that if you use the repair kit you've no hope of ever fixing the tyre if you get a flat (if it's fixbale of course).

cheers

I was warned when I ordered my car that the spare wheel would be a lot more expensive through the dealer should I decide at a later date to purchase one. I'm not sure what 'a lot more expensive' is though!

I got the space saver spare for the Altea through the parts department after the car arrived. I had requested the car be supplied with one when I ordered it but the dealer didn't bother. Took ages for them to get one, at first saying that a space saver didn't exist for the Altea. (Until I took in a picture of one in situ, kindly supplied by someone on here);)
Make sure you order the smaller foam insert to hold the tool kit as well.

I would like to think so. £100 for 1 16" wheel is a little steep! How can they only charge £35 when you order it as an option? I feel an e-mail to SEAT customer service coming on!

Because they take the air compressor and that puncture repair aerosol out, to subsidise (spelling?) it.
