I've noticed that our spare wheel rocks about in our boot and the carpet doesn't lie flat in the boot. Has anybdy else got this problem and if not how do you get the spare wheel to sit snug in there?????

There should be a long bold with a very large plastic head that you screw through the centre of the wheel into the spare wheel well to hold it firmly.

Depending upon which model, the spare wheel well may only be designed for a space saver wheel and you may have a full size wheel hence the carpet being pushed up.

We have the lcr with the full sized wheel in the boot. Theres a hexagon plastic thing with 4 tabs on it. What way round should it go because the wheel sits perfect without it but then then the long screw has nothing to srew into:confused:

Hi,

Same motor. I thought the long screw just screwed into a hole in the centre of the spare wheel well. I assume the spare wheel is lying face down in the well and the toolkit sitting inside the wheel.

I've not seen the plastic thing with 4 tabs. Only needed to have the spare wheel out once and never looked into the well because the wheel was getting heavier.
