Spare tyre

Every time I get a flat tyre I kick myself for not sorting this out, but then every time my tyres are all functioning, I forget about it. Does anyone here have any kind of solution to just using a the crap 'space-saver'? I've tried looking out for a single Cupra alloy, to no avail, but is there something else better that would do?

Last year, the fact that I only had the space saver meant missing out on a day driving Porsches round Donington Park, I was seriously gutted, and I'd seriously love to smash the little f*cking thing to pieces.

Any (preferably cheap) solutions?

Buy a steel wheel of the same size from a scrappy.

The space saver wheel is there to do exactly that though, so anything bigger and you'd have to keep it in the boot rather than the spare wheel well.

could be worse mate, you could have brakes fitted which the spacesave nor the standard cupra alloy will fit over

i got a flatty last week but luckily i keep a spare cupra alloy in the boot, had to swap the front with the back wheels (front wheel was flat) and put my cupra alloy on the back

looked like a tw@t for a few days until it was fixed

Gutted, that sounds like even more effort than putting the shitty little space saver on.

How much does the Cupra alloy affect boot space?

Ditch it altogether and put a can of run flat in its place..

I have a full size Cupra R OZ alloy in my wheel well, guess it's different for the R's coz of the Brembos up front?

it takes the circumference of 16" away from it

only kidding mate, its not that bad, still get anything you want in your boot (apart from some phat beat sound system)

doesnt take up as much room as you may think .....

Worked fine for me in the past Done just as a good a job as the spare would have done (ie 50mph to nearest tyre place/home)

Good point, didnt think of that since i had my willwoods fitted! O well spacesaver will be coming out this weekend, Less weight
