Spacer Problems...

I have recently got some 15mm FK wheel spacers for the rear of my Mk4 FR

I fitted them yesterday with longer wheel bolts from Bdager Bill

After i tightened the bolts up I span the wheel round while it was jacked up and all seemed fine.

Started to head off to work this morning and Was making a bad noise

Im not sure what the hell it was but i know it was because of the spacers.

I will try and have another look tonight to see whats wrong but I dont know what could be wrong

Anyone else had this problem or any ideas what the hell is wrong

maybe there is something on the hub???

Are the FK's hubcentric?

The longer bolt could be hitting something. Can you see how far the projection of the bolt is at the back?

Or measure you old bolts add 15mm to them and see how long your new bolts are. Are you old bolts tappered, are the new ones?

agreed with post above. when i did this on my Old Fiat the chim was smaller on the lcking wheel nut to what it was on the actual nut causing it to be longer than the rest and thus hitting something.

sound like a loud bang ever rotation.

as above check one original bolt and then check the longer bolt it can only be 15mm longer

Are the FK's hubcentric?

Chris a little of topic but i might be selling my standard Cupra Suspension in a week or so. im waiting for my Coilovers to be delivered and then ill make the decession on if i want to sell. do you want first dibs

Is the wheel not centred when you spin it like it did before? or does it just make a noise?

Thats why i was asking if they are hubcentric because the wheels might not be right in the centre?
