Hi Guys new to this part of the forum thought i better post cos i'm living in the Newport Area and know one or two of you off here from other forums..

Does anyone have the facilities to read VAG-COM cos the car is playing up and not boosting properly at all but not all the time.. I've just serviced it and changed all the Coil Packs And Plugs..

Any help will be much Appreciated..

By the way i used to have a red and white astra on airbags if anybody has seen it about then that was me..

Need mine servicing, and seeing as it has full Seat Service History, I dont know whether to take it to Seat, or an approved servicer.

Any suggestions? Big Service BTW.

Do it myself, cheaper and better parts. I keep a record of when i do stuff and with what.

Dubusiness are called something else now as well.

I'm thinking of doing it myself too, just liked the fact of having a full Seat service history, but looking at the service, most bits have been done anyway.

Yeah if you used to have the red beeza i know you.. I have VAG COM but the Mac won't take the software for it..

I think you need a Virtual Install of XP, on your Mac to allow you to run Vagcom.

Mines with greenlight, 4 years NCB's all mods included and power given. Was about 500 quid.

Where did you get that price from and with what NCB's etc...?

From Greenlight, I'm 27, with 7 years NCB, with all mods declared.

Yeah it sounds about right, I may try and add my missus on there, and see if that changes the situation.

Just called, Purple Pidgoen (White Dove) in cardiff, and for an 80k service they wanted £255!
Half the stuff i've already done myself aswell.
Like, plugs, oil, filter etc.....

He said they also swap the sump plug, because they get corroded, and also carry out a full lube service.

WTF is a lube service?

What do you reckon to this for the sump plug? Any good?

i havent stuck with service schedules since i bought the car, just changed the oil and filter every year and the plugs when they needed doing so. my mate stamped up my book anyway. but i want cambelt done in next 7k (before 70k)


ps i pay just over 500quid for insurance (45quid a month) and i'm much younger than you ya old fag
