have you tried checking the bulb connections? when one of mine was loose it caused the indicator to flash at double speed. just tightened it up to fix.

i realise that but it wouldnt neccessarily manifest iself in the same way. its only a suggestion and it takes 30 seconds to check.

also while checking out the indicators, i dont think this could be the reason but since i had my bumper changed this cable is hanging down, i dont know whats it for and dont see anywhere it can go. its hanging down just infront of the passenger wheel arch

the thing thats hangin loose, is the tempsensor for the outside temp gauge.
I think your indicatorrelais is busted, i had the same with my car, a while ago, its a common problem with Leon's.
You need a new hazzard-switch, the relais in in the switch

do able, but tight to work with...i got mine out to connect my wing mirror indicators to the relay.
you need to remove the plastic console surround, but not totally off ... i did mine just enough to get at the relay...which is just a case of pushing unit from behind..unplug and reconnect.
