So, what's wrong with this graph?

(Torque x RPM)/5252 =BHP.

If the lines don't cross at 5252, there are some inaccuracies in the measurements. :)

that's only valid when:

power is in bhp
torque is in lbft
both plots are on the same axis

none of which apply to this.

Nowhere near, i.e. Norway.
There must be good things about living in Norway?
Yeah, if you like snow and cold. We've a good system to care for us. Lots of welfare and stuff. The government is rich because of the oil.

How do you know its 1.5bar?
A HKS meter not taking pressure at the best place. Where's the best place?

yeah the snowboarding isn't bad.
But living over there costs a fortune!!!
Yeah, I was into snowboarding and such before my car accident in 95, after that my balance is kinda crappy.
The family have a cabin at one of THE places, that's nice
Yeah, costs a lot to live here, and because we are so few people in this country, the selections of things to buy, is very limited, take groceries as an example. Visiting UK is heaven!

Are you lookin at a vag com log to say your hitting 1,5bar?

Coz to me that sounds like your not taking off atmospheric pressure, so 1500mbar minus atmospheric pressure of ~100mbar is 500mbar which equals ~7.2psi. Which is about right for a non mapped N75J'd leon.
I didn't understand that, but if what you're saying is right, maybe it won't blow the turbo so soon then?

Ever see the female population:drool:
Ah, shut up! Let me just mention: Lucy Pinder & Sophie Howard

Ok, If you say so!

Power(KW) = (Torque(NM) x 2pi x rpm )/60000

It's too late, mate! I'm tired.

So, you guys with knowledge, can we draw some conclusions?

Is the company who done this graph for me, totally lost? Are they adding too much from what they get straight from the wheels?
The strange thing is, they said I had 180+HP on the wheels, but there's nothing on the outprint that could tell me that, anyway, it's not in English.

Can I assume there's nothing seriously wrong with my car, since I probably don't have almost 210 HP?

Dyno lottery, Vidar. :D

The curves of the graph lead me to think there's nothing wrong with your car. I'm sure you are putting out a few bhp more than standard, taking decat into account. :)

Don't like that kinda lotteries!

The curves are not excactly nice and even, are they? I thought that could indicate something.

Eh? "taking decat into account?"

New back box, not cat back/turbo back.
Do know what that would've costed me over here, if I had it done? :Shivering:

To quote my self:
I don't know if where I pick up the boost has a significant influence? It's a HKS meter so I assume the quality on the meter is ok enough.

How do I know if I'm boosting to .5 bar over atmospheric pressure, or 1.5 bar over?

Btw, where in VAG-COM should I read this off of?

Dave - I wondered the saem TBH. Either 115 or 118 (or other places I'm sure) is absolute boost, always the second column.

But the value you read in the second column on 115 is with atmospheric pressure. So you need to subtract that.

The picture of the boost gauge, is the car running at that point or is the engine switched off?

Done some VAG-COM while driving and in group 115 in column 4, "Actual Boost" says approx 2500mbar. (It's on the laptop, don't remember exact.)
So if I subtract the atmospheric pressure of 1013.25 mbar, I'll get approx 1500mbar. Am I lost? Phil?

Well it does seem that your car is boosting to 1.5 bar. Can you post the VAg-Com log? Your car must have been remapped at some point.
