They give fantastic advice! It was reading up on their tips about car cleaning that really made up my mind to go ahead and buy a form lance and snow foam, as soon as it arrives and i get my outside tap fitted and ready to hook up the pressure washer, I can post up some shots, it looks like fun too
but the idea seems to be rather than spraying off the top layer of loose dirt from your car before you start actually washing it, the foam it applied and is allowed to sit for about 10-15minutes depending on the product and it will soften up the dirt and will therefore allow you to rinse of far more crud and glove you a much deeper intensive clean before you touch it with you sponge (i say sponge but it should really be a lambswool mitt - see PB for more details as to why ) To point of this is not only to make actually hand washing the car less effort but but removing more dirt before you start washing you significatly reduce the risk of swirl marks as there is less dirt to be married against the cars paint work.
