smoke???? help

hi all 2 weeks ago engine man light came on had it pluged into my mates snap on machine and was reading a fault of runiing to rich air flow meter and runiing on low boost!!have since replaced the air flow meter, but followed my missis in the car and every time she pulled off a small chuff of white smoke was coming from back any ideas

car is 1.8 t 180

White smoke is water, you loosing coolant?
Condensation in the exhaust due to small journeys?

the car has been using oil thou not loads but has been using it
