hacksaw, and some patience would do the trick.

hacksaw and no patience will give you something like this:

If I were to use my own non oem pipework, do you think that I could route the pipework better to prevent this problem?

Hehe - I had to take a stanley knife to much of my offside front bumper too due to the inlet pipe for the FMIC. :D Found a stanley knife much more accurate and less brutal than a hacksaw which could only go in a straight line. Stanley had a degree of flexibility.

It'll be cheaper then a Forge anyway (and bigger:p )
