Small scratch on alloys

Hello,

apologies for this.

I today looked at my Seat Ibiza I have had for new for two months and treated with upmost care.

On two alloy wheels are two very small scratches (barely noticeable unless you look at them).

I have been careful not to curb or hit wheels.

I am just wondering if

1. small scratches on alloys is inevitable wear and tear and I am just worrying and over thinking.

2. Might the small scratches polish out during cleaning or valeting of the car?

many thanks

Hi Matt. Difficult to answer your questions without some further info;
  • What type of alloys does your car have - single colour powder coated or diamond cut? if the latter, is it the diamond cut / polished face that’s scratched or the darker (black or grey?) sections between the spokes?
  • If you run a finger nail over the scratches, does It catch on the scratches?
  • Do you clean the car yourself, get it cleaned by one of the many car hand wash places or a professional car valeter / detailer? If you clean it yourself, do you clean the car and the wheels using a safe wash technique? (a poor wash technique can inflict scratches or swirls).
Are you able to post a picture of the alloys showing the scratches?
