you can either mod it yourself like you say lee or buy the Audi TT add in vent section.

The TT vent sounds promising. Might have a trawl through ETKA tonight and see what's available.

Is it a whole arch liner, or just a vent that can be grafted in ?

IIRC ... it's a graft job. So you can do it one of two ways...

Cut a big hole, and then fit the vent.
OR
if you are a PROPER cheapskate... and you dont care what it looks like, use stan well, and make the vents actaully in the arch cover itself.

TBH I cant see it making a big difference.

Unless you could find a way to safley pipe clean "filtered" air from the from the front of the car directly to the IC.

from memory people said it did drop the temps by a few degrees which can only be a good thing. The cleaner flow of air really helps, otherwise it tends tyo spiral round behind the intercooler blocking more fresh air coming though the fins so easily.

Good point.
I have a new section to fit sometime soon... as it was ragged off a while back and im SURE it's effecting my MPG. So I may just sort the vent install when I do it.
I dont see why you need a specific grill, im sure any grill would do the job, as long as it's fitted to STOP the stones spinning off the wheels hitting the IC.
