Should this plug be touching the bonnet lining?

will have a look when im topping up with screenwash, im sure i have seen that but its rotated around by 45 or 90 degrees.

I think its from the air flow sensor. am surprised is where it is if there is such a force applied due to the bonnet lining.

yeah, mines made an indentation into the bonnet lining. it's been rubbing against the lining since i got the car. shame vw didn't design the MAF sensor plug to be angled off a bit more to stop this.

Although not a cupra mine os off to the side and doesnt touch anything. I wouldn't like it if it were! Very sensitive sensor and as little vibrations as possible i would think.... touching the lining/bonnet would surely put extra vabrations through it!

Hi guys, had the same prob with mine last year where the felt sound proofing was sagging down in the middle from the bonnet also marking the silver plastic rocker cover. Was replaced no prob under warranty, the new one apparently has now been modified to stop this happening and six months on still as new!!;)

is there room undeneath for it at the same angle ? and wire length of course

i'd be inclined to switch it upside down for the sake of 2 screws and a clip ?

Hi,

Have had a look and mines is the same, there is an impression in the bonet lining.

Could be worth checking at next service but im sure its not causing too many problems - its probably helping to hold the plug in!
