DIFT> your longer lockers are in, spacers due as are bolts to suit
It's only the bolts that hold the wheels on, so most of the cost should be concentrated there.
The spacers themselves are only flat discs with holes in them.
Fit a good set of bolts and check they are tight on a regular basis. 120Nm according to my manual (Page 189).
I wonder if buying a cheaper spacer from one place and a good set of bolts from another is the way to go?
Guy.
BTW. Once the spacers are fitted, do the longer bolts use the same torque rating as the standard ones?
When do you think I will get them Bill?
Im hopeing today or tomorrow... It'd be nice to get them for Brands Hatch
yeah 9ft...maybe i should of made it clear they're 9's
already look like road rollers...but 9ft thats true euro tite! lol
Its not just flat disks with holes in unless you are going shim spacers...
If rears minimum is 15mm for spigot clearance on hubcentric spacers... and in this instance wheel loads are transferred by spigot not bolts.. Bolts clamp wheel to hubs.
Agree not to use cheap bolts (ever!) but the spacers on this thread are on the whole hubcentric versions, and you dont want cnc'd up shop ones which may not have sufficient wall thickness or material grade to take the spigot loads.
CPU freak ran CNC shop hubcentrics on his mk4 ibiza and in a collision one of the spacer spigots sheared off!
I'm a bit confused here.
As far as I can see the spacer is just that. It keeps the wheel away from the hub by the amount you require.
I Googled and am using this as an example nothing more.

If those aren't discs with holes in them what are they?
Are you saying that it's better to bolt the spacer to the hub and then bolt the wheel to the spacer?
I'd like to get this right because I'm looking to get some 20mm spacers for my car.
Thanks.
Guy.
