Should I change my Fuel regulator or wait?

I have a 15 plate Leon FR Diesel, done 96,000 miles and services are regular.
I never thought about a fuel regulator until I read something recently but is this something I have to do asap or is it something that needs replacing only if I get an issue?

Also what else needs doing apart from servicing now it's getting a bit older? It's had a timing belt change at 80k.

It's not a serviceable part - I would only change it, if needed due to a problem, its not a cheap part.
What did you read about it?

My rear dampers were shot when I changed them at 100k
Just done my fronts at 130k with new top mounts - which creaked a little.
Did my front wheel bearings before I got to 100k

Has it ever had a fuel filter?

Yes it has had fuel filters.
I read an advert where someone was selling a Leon Diesel with roughly the same mileage as mine and he stated that he hadn't as yet changed the fuel regulator so I suppose I guessed it was something I had to do at a certain mileage

Ah ok, I wouldn't worry about your fuel regulator unless you had a fault.
