Afternoon All

Ive had my Leon for a couple of weeks now (2.0TFSI) and ive noticed that I can hear my dump valve on throttle release...I thought the 2.0TFSI used a re-circ system?
Should I be able to hear anything? its not totally loud like you would expect from an atmospheric DV but I can hear it in the car with the windows down.
Im not against the noise...in fact I quite like it, but I don't want to be driving round with a leaky dump valve.
I don't know if my motor has the uprated OEM RevG version or a non standard unit for that fact. Ill have to get it up on the ramps for a look.
I guess what im asking is should the standard dump valve make a noise if working correctly.

Any info is much appreciated

Cheers

Mine isn't a Cupra mate, just the 185BHP Sport so im assuming its down the bottom behind the drivers wheel lining? Is that the best best to start though, by checking the DV for knackered diaphragm?
Still curious why I can only hear it during throttle off / gear change...if the DV was knackered wud it not be leaking constantly and not boosting?

I have a Cupra with an open cone induction kit, and I can hear mine very clearly. I couldn't before the induction kit though. Do you have an aftermarket filter?

EDIT: I used to have a mk1 LCR totally stock and I used to be able to hear that, although very subtle.

Everything is standard (as far as I know) and the noise is very subtle. There doesn't seem to be any issues with boost and everything is ok on the VAGcom. Im gonna check the DV anyway for splits and probably upgrade it to Rev D if it hasn't already been done.

Thanks for the responses lads, much appreciated

Personally I'd go with a rev G (rubber diaphragm type), I always felt the rev D I had was leaking, G is/was cheaper as well.
