Servicing Intervals

Hi anyone and everyone. I have just bought my first Seat. A Leon Cupra 20VT.

Totally standard and FSSH. It needs a 60k service but I cant find any info?

Does it need anything special? Cheers:D

Great choice of car!!

I would recommend cambelt, tensioner and water pump change, I've heard lots of rumours about longer life but they can snap from 60K and that's mega expensive!

Thanks for that. I saw something about that on awesome GTi website, about £245 fixed for that service. is that about right?

Cheers anyway. Just noticed a servicing section so have posted the question there.

My impeller bummed out a while back, as it runs off the cam and they have to take the belt off to get to it anyway (I think they un-mount the engine for this as it is all shoe horned in place). So at the time I got the rollers, tension, belt & pump replaced. If you are having the belt etc replaced you would be mad not to get the impeller replaced at the same time. Or even the whole pump. I think the pump is £30. This is a common fault on all Seat, VW, Audi & Soda’s. A £3 piece of plastic can cost you over £350 in labour!

Also at 60K I changed my sparks for some pricy platinum plugs. The old ones were corroding from the middle (this was at 62,000 miles)

Cheers
