can anyone explain the differences between a camshaft positioning sensor, thrust sensor and a crankshaft sensor. we've been trying to deal with the camshaft sensor for ages now, and my local seat dealer said its now called a thrust sensor (he thinks). can anyone shine some light on this?? we had the car on the vag-com yesterday and it displayed a few faults. 1 was the cam. pos sensor, 2 was suggesting the car was running lean and 3 was telling us it was losing pressure somewhere! i'm going to get the exact fault codes later today.

the car hasn't been performing as it usually does. the drive has been very jerky and it feels as if the car doesnt want to go anywhere. basically there's a power loss evertime it goes over 4k revs. the technician is going to have the car next weekend and start by changing the maf as he believes this may be one of the contributers, and then go over the whole car to see where it maybe losing this 'pressure'. any help would be greatly appreciated!
