Secondary air pump fix, not work around

As in the title, usual situation my car on cold start sounded like a diesel so decided to try and get it sorted took it to stealer's and they were quoting £500 to replace. So scoured the Internet for hours and found a really great guide.

All in all took about 1hr 20 to complete
Only difference is this is for a golf and the T20 Torx screwdriver is a 25 not 20 but the rest is the same.

Sounds excellent again now, was starting to get embarrassed by it when starting it up. Do an early shift so leave the house at 6am don't think the neighbors were enjoying the tractor going past.

That gives me something else to do on my day off tomorrow, fit new dog bone mounts, maybe try and fit TIP and secondary air pump.

None of my rivets needed to be drilled either just pulled the tops off and pushed them through. Nice little money maker for VAG seen as they are made of aluminum and are very soft so almost guaranteed to fail at some point.

good good, cos i was a bit suspect about trying the fix cos i heard that the casing cracks but cant really see any damage to the pump, but im definately sorting it now. no more embarassed drives out of the staff carpark
