Goy my airbag light re-set and was told it was static electricity in the driver side pre-tnsioner and told if it came back on unplug and plug the pre-tensioner together a few times and it should go away, if that didn't work I would need a new pre-tensioner. Problem is I can't find the plug to try this I know it should be under the seat somewhere but would I be able to just get to it putting my hand under the seat or is do I need to remove anything ?

Seatbelt pretensioner is inside the B pillar where the seatbelt rolls into, not under the seat. You're thinking about the seat airbag connector which is under the seat.

Aww is that what it is. I've got waht I've been told mixed up then !! lol Is it the air bag connector I need to unplug then do you think or the pre-tensioner ? Some else told me just to turn the batter off for 20 mins and put it back on but I would rather try the other thing first to see if that works.

Disconnecting the battery might help, and is a cheap attempt at a fix. Although make sure you have the code for the stereo before doing so otherwise no sounds. However, the airbag and the pretensioner will both throw separate codes, so if the pretensioner is the fault then there's nothing unplugging the airbag connector under the seat will do, other than throw up a separate error code and put the light on for that.

I have changed the cd player to one of my own so I won't need a radio code. I'll try the battery way then and see if that works and if not do you think I will need a new pretensioner ?

I know that viking has said the pretensioner is where the seatbelt rolls into but is the connector plug for the pretensioner under the seat or the carpet as its this part I was told to try unplugging and re-plug a few tiems and see if it takes my air bag light off ? Just wondering because I was told it was under the seat somewhere but its hard to see under these seats !!
