Hello, Recently I attempted to retrofit from my 3 button to a MIB1 and i’m not sure if i’m the first but here is a complete summary of everything needed and what to do.

Everything you need
• Aliexpress quad lock and 12 pin adapter
• GPS Antenna
• Dab Radio Antenna
• LVDS Connector

Firstly you’ll need this adapter from aliexpress as the new screens will have a 12 pin connector.

Next You will need to remove your old MIB.

You will find your Quadlock connector located at the top which you will connect one side of the adapter to and you will have to remove out your whole glovebox and route the extended quadlock adapter part down to the bottom. You will also route the LVDS Cable down to the glovebox obviously for your MIB1/2 Unit

Next you will notice that you may have to cut the back of the glovebox so your MIB UNIT wiring can sit inside and connect to the unit inside your glovebox.

Next you will need to wire down your orange Aerial cable down to the glovebox for the MIB Unit to connect to.

If everything goes well you the unit should go in and rest on the tray inside your glovebox without any issues.

Next Connect your MIB screen with the LVDS Cable and the 12 pin connector and the screen should fit perfectly in where the old MIB was without any issues.

If everything is connected perfectly then once you turn on ignition the Unit and Screen should begin to boot up and show a display with of course component protection active.

After connecting to the ODIS Server and getting the MIB Coded to the car, Radio and everything should be working.

Optional: You can add navigation to your gauge cluster by using VCDS going into your instrument cluster and applying security access and then Adaptions and you will find navigation which you apply.
