2004 Seat Leon MK1 1.6 Petrol

I have attempted the throttle body + EGR Cleaning by watching this video in youtube

Throttle Body + EGR Cleaning - Seat Leon 1m / Golf 4 / Toledo 2 / Bora (code AZD & BCB)

Now when I start the car the Service light is on and after a minutes of starting the car the ESP light comes on and the car goes Rough Idle until I hit the accelerator again.

While cleaning I pushed the butterfly disk and held it open few times while I was cleaning the carbon using the spray.

I have a vcds-lite program and cable and I tried reading the error code.

1 Fault Found:
17961 - Barometric / Manifold Pressure Signals: Implausible Correlation
P1553 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 1010 0101

My vids-lite is not registered non activated hence I cannot do a throttle body reset.

Could someone please help?

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Matt

This issue was solved by clearing the fault code and performing the throttle body alignment and EGR valve alignment using a registered activated vcds lite. The trial version cant do the alignments.

First thing I'd do is check for vacuum leaks mate, I had a terrible time with mine turned out to be a split oil dipstick tube letting air in!

I have checked this and this doesn't seem to be an issue.

Did you unplug the throttle Body?

Unfortunately I removed the whole throttle body for cleaning, which I regret now. There was nothing wrong except a slow idling. Would too much engine oil can cause the issue? I thing I have over filled slightly above the C.

As far as I know if you unplug it it needs resetting...

I have the non-registered version of VCDS-Lite which doesn't allow me to reset it. Looking for some alternate ways.

I got hold of the vcds lite. Then did the throttle body alignment and EGR valve alignment. Tried starting the car and it was showing the same symptoms. I

cleared the fault code and did the alignment and it seem to have done the trick. All console lights cleared and it idles normally. I think I got some performance improvement especially during the starting.

Thank you all, especially suschef for your quick responses which gave me some comfort.
