You can only read the OCU version via the diagnostic system
Thanks for this mate. Will looking to such devices. Just making notes and trying to understand them, ODIS, VCP and have seen
obdeleven being promoted in the forum but from what I understand its usage is credit based. Ill do more homework on them to work out pros and cons and if there more cost then it initially seems as the prices for such things vary drastically, £50 (scam cheapo?) to £1000+
the OBDelven looks interesting as it look simple, the phone operation looks nice though wonder if its best to have more (?) control and ease using ones that operate via laptop. I see a lot of cheapo things on aliexpress but aware buy cheap by twice. Budget wise I don't want to be spending more than £200 ideally but happy to be told if this isn't realistic either.
Although I'd like to just update the OCU to address the popping noise I'm also seeing this as a possible opportunity as a newbie to learn more about error codes to see if it is worth self-servicing/self-maintenance as I'm very impressed with a lot of you folk and what you've done with your cars, makes me think you've had a past as a mechanic/tech or if it was just from interest.
