I don't think that's really the issue fella, the main problem isn't the actual results it's the way the results are achieved. Its been pretty much proven over quite a number of years that remapping these cars is far better than a tuning box.

There are many ways to skin a cat or there are many ways to climb a mountain, that's a saying people have. Remap increases the power in a certain way, and tuning box increase the power in a certain way, the both do the same thing it's just that the do it differently doesn't mean that the are both wrong, many cars have had tuning box in them for many thousand miles without any issues, and same with remap. Some on the other hand have had issues, same with remap. Well for me I want to try tuning box cuz am that kinda guy that likes to change my car every now and again and want something I can transfer to another car, and found that TDI Tuning would reprogram the box for a small free, if I went with remap I'll have to pay full price again to get the new car remapped so in the long run as I change cars I'll lose out.

I'm far from clued up in the specifics of tuning boxes or remapping tbh, but having listened to people that are and read a little on each it seems to me that a tuning box will never be comparable, mainly due to the micky mouse way it tries to cheat the ecu.

Lol like Tom and jerry lol, to me it makes no difference how the achieve their goal, besides ecu is a bunch of signals which are programmed to deliver volts to the engine to regulate how it works, tuning box just intercepts these volts and alter them before the reach the engine, while remap just ultra the original signals of the ecu and changes how the original volts reaches the engine lol

Personally I would go with the majority and get a remap off a trusted place.
