Hello lads,
I've just brought a 2004 seat Leon 1.6sx from a friend. It's had a misfire for about 10 months now, when driving the car feels fine (surges a little at a constant speed 70mph for example) it judders quite bad on Tick over too. Ive carried out a compression test (all fine) and I've pluged in into vcds and got misfire cylinder 2.
This has most likely been covered 10000 times but hoping for some new info and experiences with this fault. Could it be the Ecu ? Coils, spark plugs ??

Any help would be great :)

not familiar with this engine but assuming it has 1 or2 coils which are fired by ecu I would check the all the leads for resistance (should be close if but not exactly the same)--------- you could clear the code swap the lead onto another cylinder and then recheck for a fault on that cylinder or is it still no2? this will give you a further clue but my money would be on the lead I'd fit a decent new set rather than pay for genuine (the last genuine VW lead was approx. £22 EACH OOOOOUUCH
