I own a seat leon 1.9tdi 105 bhp mk2 leon I have saved and saved but nows the time for action, basics of it is I want 300bhp and have been looking for performance products but not got very far because of lack of knowledge, a friend for UKMIVS can do the work I just need to tell him what to do, but I don't know and I thought the people of cupra.net might,
Any help much appreciated,
Thank you for your time.

I'm not sure it's going to be worth goind that way. You'll need whole load of stuff: remap, turbo back exhaust, induction kit, uprated fuel pump, FMIC, and bigger turbo. But who am I to say I did engine conversion on my 1.6 leon :D. Good luck mate, hope you'll make right choice

Lol what a waste of money. You could actually buy a fast car with all that money mate. It would probably cost less to buy a replacement engine

Yeah but with attitudes like that then what's the point in there be different cars? Go buy a bland BMW or something.

(i'am at 187bhp at the moment, just not sure on the ways to move up)

It's nothing to do with being bland. Just some people have common sense. You asked for peoples opinions, did you not? Don't post on forums if you don't want people to have an input. all I'm saying is that it will cost you **** loads of money.

P.s......is this Buzz?!?!?!

Can you even get the 1.9 lump up to 300bhp?? I doubt it very much. You'd have to uprate all of the internals, clutch and as above, bigger turbo, full exhaust, remap and all sorts of other things.
Probably would be cheaper and less painful to buy a remapped cupra lump and have that put in.
You'd need to uprate brakes and suspension to accommodate the extra power too.
My opinion is that you should save a few extra pennies and buy a Cupra/ Cupra R/ K1.

Speak to Buzz, he's putting out about 500bhp going off the figures he reckons to get.

Check out the tdiclub.com for that sort of thing bud, you're going to need serious mods to get that sort power but this is a good place to look for ideas.:)

Exactly, I had to get all that done in my car... wiser would be sell you tdi and get 1.9 and maybe get FR tdi with bigger potential.

There is someone on here with a 1.9tdi running 280-300bhp. IIRC he has propane injection as well as a big turbo and all the goodies to go with it.

200bhp is possible from the 1.9tdi and this would be plenty. I have 170 from my 2.0 tdi and that's good enough.

300 is too high a goal IMO.

Going to be nearly impossible or require so much money you could buy a car with that power, to take my mk1 fr from stage 1 plus exhaust I'm talking well
over 5k and that is only to about 240bhp starting with a much better platform

derv doctor lists a stage 4 tune for the 1.9 for 300bhp and 400lbft, but its a huge amount of work and since your starting with a low spec model your going have to spend a lot of money on the suspension and brake set-ups.i wouldnt bother but hey knock yourself out your car.heard plenty of people say why bother tuning a cupra to 350-400, get an rs4, evo etc.everyone has sumat to say when you tune a car.
